Cute & Simple

Okay so if you are like me you will think you can't do all hairstyles. But let me say don't knock it until you try it, I am 4c so I always thought I couldn't do certain styles ( even though some styles don't look good on me like Bantu knot).

So I decided to do a quick hairstyle. I decided to do two flat twist in the front & two strand twist in the back. I'll walk you through the steps to complete this look.

Products you'll need: Water bottle, Vitamin E oil ( oil of your choice), foam (optional), Gel or Jam ( your choice for edges),Toothbrush ( one that hasn't been used for your teeth) & Oil sheen

So I parted my hair in the front for the flat twist and put some foam in the palm of my hand then did one big flat twist & a small flat twist. Then I sprayed my hair with water & oil so that I can complete my two strand twist. Then I wrapped my hair with a scarf and went to sleep.

The next day I did the big twist again with  foam again and slicked my edges with jam and took the twist out and I'll show you a few pictures below so you can see how it came out!! I loved this hair style!

My lil Mohawk

Omg so I'm in love with my new hairstyle. This is probably an old style to many in the natural community but I didn't think it would look cute on me.... Boy was I wrong. I am in love this hair style ( I can't say it enough lol) but my mom wears this style with it not as defined and I love it on her. I'm so glad I tried this style! Funny thing is I just don't think certain style look good on me such as Bantu knots, puffs and Mohawk defiantly was other one. So I leave you with this TRY styles before you knock them no matter the texture or pattern. You may end up with something you will love.

So I just want to tell you what I did and show you some pictures. First thing I did was wet my hair ( may vary on how you start your two strand twist) I wet my hair with water and the oil of my choice ( jojoba oil) & I use some sheen bc I wasn't going to do the twist at 1st I was going to just style te Afro in a faux Mohawk. I pinned up sides ( which left of the middle, front & back) then I twisted my hair. Then wrapped up my hair with my scarf & went to sleep.

The next day I took vitamin e oil and made sure I put the oil on the ends and then put a little more on my fingertips to take the twist out. Also for the sides you may need jam or gel to slick up sides with a brush and pin it with bobby pins. Puff it up, spray a little sheen and then you are good to go!!
