Chicken casserole

So today I tried something new. It's my spin on a loaded bake potato ( I saw it on Pinterest ). It was so easy. I'll walk you through the steps.

I thawed the chicken out first then rinsed and cleaned the chicken tenders. Turned water on for broccoli and cooked it for about five-six minutes on the stove. Then rinsed the potatoes off ( at this time you can take of skin if you want but I kept it on) and cut them up ( try to cut them medium not large) BC it will take really long for them to cook. I placed the potatoes in a bowl and then cut of the chicken and put it all in one bowl. I added seasoning salt, pepper, onion powder & garlic powder ( use your own seasonings & add it as you please)

The get a pan and spray it or put olive oil in the bottom even you are not using aluminum foil. I forgot this step but you can do it so it won't stick to pan and for taste.

So I mixed all the ingredients in the pan and then added bacon bits.

After 40 mins I put cheese on it and put in oven until the potatoes were done. Depending on how you cut the potatoes may determine how long you will keep in the oven ( well that was my case) the dish would have been done in 60 minutes but I had to put it back in for 15-20 minutes bc of my potatoes!!  Enjoy!!

Better picture ( I think lol)

Top Five

Okay so I'm not sure if anyone is out there but I felt the need to let you know how I felt about the movie  Top Five. I'll keep it short and sweet.

I think I was excited because there was so many big names in the movie. So based off that I went in thinking this movie would be an automatic five star movie but I was wrong. Like everyone made it seem like this was the funniest movie of the year. Now don't get me wrong some parts were funny but I just didn't get the movie at all. I mean I just didn't understand what was going on. Then to top it off why is this movies called  Top Five when clearly it had nothing to do with the rappers that were named and everyone kept naming six people????? Like maybe if they would've named the top five actors that motivated or inspired them to be great. I would have even been okay with naming the people that may have helped them get where they are now. That may have tied it together a bit more,Idk my BFF Jill. If you go see the movie go to a matinee do not pay the full price to see this movie. That is just my two cents!

P.S.-I'm still lost. Lol, I just had so many questions.

Cute & Simple

Okay so if you are like me you will think you can't do all hairstyles. But let me say don't knock it until you try it, I am 4c so I always thought I couldn't do certain styles ( even though some styles don't look good on me like Bantu knot).

So I decided to do a quick hairstyle. I decided to do two flat twist in the front & two strand twist in the back. I'll walk you through the steps to complete this look.

Products you'll need: Water bottle, Vitamin E oil ( oil of your choice), foam (optional), Gel or Jam ( your choice for edges),Toothbrush ( one that hasn't been used for your teeth) & Oil sheen

So I parted my hair in the front for the flat twist and put some foam in the palm of my hand then did one big flat twist & a small flat twist. Then I sprayed my hair with water & oil so that I can complete my two strand twist. Then I wrapped my hair with a scarf and went to sleep.

The next day I did the big twist again with  foam again and slicked my edges with jam and took the twist out and I'll show you a few pictures below so you can see how it came out!! I loved this hair style!

My lil Mohawk

Omg so I'm in love with my new hairstyle. This is probably an old style to many in the natural community but I didn't think it would look cute on me.... Boy was I wrong. I am in love this hair style ( I can't say it enough lol) but my mom wears this style with it not as defined and I love it on her. I'm so glad I tried this style! Funny thing is I just don't think certain style look good on me such as Bantu knots, puffs and Mohawk defiantly was other one. So I leave you with this TRY styles before you knock them no matter the texture or pattern. You may end up with something you will love.

So I just want to tell you what I did and show you some pictures. First thing I did was wet my hair ( may vary on how you start your two strand twist) I wet my hair with water and the oil of my choice ( jojoba oil) & I use some sheen bc I wasn't going to do the twist at 1st I was going to just style te Afro in a faux Mohawk. I pinned up sides ( which left of the middle, front & back) then I twisted my hair. Then wrapped up my hair with my scarf & went to sleep.

The next day I took vitamin e oil and made sure I put the oil on the ends and then put a little more on my fingertips to take the twist out. Also for the sides you may need jam or gel to slick up sides with a brush and pin it with bobby pins. Puff it up, spray a little sheen and then you are good to go!!

Back ( I used the flash and it still came out dark) sorry :/

My anniversary weekend

So many don't know that I am married... Well in the blog world that is, I have been married since October 24,2008. Yes that means I have been married for six years and we have been together for seven years. This is my longest relationship and I am proud of myself because usually I run away from problems and become selfish at times. But my husband tried his best to make me HAPPY.

So with that being said we did a few of our favorite  things this weekend. We went to the mall which has a movie theater, some of my favorite stores and Dave and Busters.

So we went to see john wick, looked around and went to dave snd busters ( I love that place even though it can be a little pricey). Go on Wednesday it's usually 1/2 off those days. We played and ate!! My husband won 3,000 tickets and it was a blast. John wick was a good movie.

Then on Saturday we went to uptown Charlotte and walked around, we had moe's, we went to see addicted and we rode on the horse and carriage.

We had moe's which was a like Mexican place. More like an expensive Taco Bell in my book, we had nachos and they were just okay. We also had a smoothie from smoothie king ( I love this place). Then OMG we went to SMG ( studio movie grill I think it's called) it is the BEST movie theater, you get to pick your seats before going into your movie, then you get seated and you are able to push a button to get a waitress or waiter yes I said get a server and they will bring you what ever you want ( candy, water, milkshakes, drinks and food) the movie ticket was $7.50 each. I had pepperoni pizza (10.50 for a nice size pizza) & I had a milkshake (4.50)  both were so good. I can't wait to go back there. Then the horse and carriage is always awesome. We had Rocky the horse this time and I loved our driver ( not sure what she is called). Just a great time!!! Happy anniversay pooh

Work it out

Working out is not the business,I mean don't get me wrong it has great benefits and it will pay off in the long run but for some reason when I don't see results in a day ( so serious) I am like guess I will just stay FAT forever.

Like I started off doing so good. I was getting up at 6:45 am four days a week and then all of a sudden I'm in the lazy stage.

I am going to start praying about it bc it is team to much and it's not cute at all. Like if my mom says oh wow you look like you are slimming down I feel like I did something major and I get lazy. I honestly just need to get out of this FUNK and stay consistent.

Also I have to eat better bc all the hard work I'm doing won't ever pay off the way I'm eating out or just eating unhealthy bull crap.I just hope and pray that if you are on a weightloss journey THAT YOU WONT GIVE UP and even if you need a break you will get back on track. Don't wait for a new month or  the next week start DOING BETTER TODAY!

Snapea Crisps

Okay so I think most people had to eat peas when they were growing up and hated them like me.. My grandma use to make us eat them but I use to hide them because I didn't like the texture or taste of them. But I just received my #lovewithfoodbox and harvest snaps lightly salted snap peas have changed my mind about peas. Not it is a little bland ( I would say a little more salt maybe needed) but I know these are healthy snacks. I'm glad I have them a try bc they are yummy. I would love to try a hot version of these ( the texture is a cross between hot fries and cheese doodles) so I think a cheese flavor and a hot flavor would be delish!! I give these a 4 out 5!!!
